How quickly are clothes dried or ironed on the TUBIE ironing doll?

Many people may think that it takes a relatively long time to stretch your shirts, jumpers, T-shirts, dresses or trousers on our TUBIE shirt ironing dummy, but with a little practice, stretching only takes about 30 seconds. When ironing shirts on our ironing dummy, for example, all you have to do is close the top collar button and fix the tension clips at the bottom. T-shirts are ironed with a so-called net cover on the ironing machine. Simply pull the net cover over the shirt cover of the TUBIE like a vest, put a T-shirt over it, fix the tension clamps, switch on and you're done. We are often asked how many garments can be ironed daily with our ironing machine, but this question is not easy to answer, because it depends on many factors. The residual moisture after washing, for example, plays an important role, because the clothes should ideally be pulled onto the shirt iron directly after the washing process. Depending on whether you wash at high or low speed, the drying or ironing process will take longer or shorter. In addition, the ironing time also depends strongly on the material of the garments, because natural fibres such as cotton are particularly skin-friendly, but dry relatively slowly, whereas fabrics made of synthetic fibres such as polyester dry at lightning speed. If you want to iron completely dry shirts or trousers, you can simply moisten them slightly with a spray bottle of water. In this case, the whole thing goes relatively quickly.

As you can see, it is not possible to say exactly how long the different garments need to stay on the ironing dummy to dry or to be ironed, but here is a small indication:

A shirt takes on average 4 - 7 minutes, T-shirts about 3 - 4 minutes, a jacket about 12 - 15 minutes, jeans about 14 - 17 minutes and jumpers about 6 - 8 minutes.

As already mentioned, these times are averages and some places like shirt pockets, cuffs, etc. take a little longer because the fabric is double here. However, the shirt does not have to stay on the ironing machine until it is completely dry. It can simply be hung on a hanger to dry.

Have fun ironing, your TUBIE shirt iron team.
