Removing pet hair from clothes - Tips from the TUBIE Ironing Doll Team

Today in the TUBIE Ironing Doll and Ironing Machine Blog we are looking at the topic of pet hair. Anyone who has pets at home knows how annoying it is to remove pet hair from clothes. Because we have two office dogs in the shirt and blouse ironing team, we know the hairy problem only too well. Pet hair gets firmly entangled in the fibres of clothing and is difficult to get rid of. Our ironing machine and ironing doll team has summarised its tips.

We shirt and blouse ironers like to and often use ordinary parcel tape to remove dog hair from clothes, because you can usually find such tape in every office. Just cut a few strips about 10 cm long and then use the sticky side to de-fuzz your clothes. Works best in our opinion.

Special lint rollers are somewhat more convenient to use. These actually work in exactly the same way as normal adhesive tape, but are a little more expensive. You simply roll them over your clothes and the unloved pet hair disappears. You can always find such lint rollers in our TUBIE ironing machine office, but they are usually empty because the wear and tear is quite high. You can find these rolls in the household section of any well-stocked supermarket.

Then there are also those washable, rubbery lint rollers that you roll over dog or cat hair and then clean the roller with warm water. But we shirt ironers find that these rolls don't stick properly after a while.

If you are at home and have a dryer at your disposal, you can easily put the hairy clothes into the appliance for a few minutes. We at TUBIE Ironing Doll have tried this method many times and found it to be good.

Did you know that rubber gloves are a real all-purpose weapon? Not only can you easily open bottles or glasses with them; if you wipe them over hairy clothes, the hair disappears in a flash.

Then there are those velvety red lint brushes that almost everyone has somewhere in the household. These may be quite good for lint, but they are less suitable for dog hair, as our entire shirt ironing machine team finds.
